I have jumped into the world of sublimating and wanted to share it with all of you!  If you've ever worked with vinyl, like I did for many years in the past, you definately want to look into this!  It is absolutely AMAZING and super duper easy!  Basically, you print out an image you design on whichever program you choose, ie photoshop or silhouette, print and press!  Simple!

The printer I chose to start with is the Epson EcoTank ET-3710. It was the most affordable for me, and I am very happy with my decision.  Just remember, DO NOT put the regular ink that comes with the printer in your machine, you will want to order a type of sublimation ink, such as the HAPPYTONER 400 ml Sublimation Ink Refill for Epson printers.  This is a very good price and bonus that it comes in the correct type of bottles so you don't have to worry about trying to use syringes or anything like that.  Trust me, you'll thank me later!

I will share some of the other must have items to get started below.  Stay tuned and I will show give you a walk through tutorial on how to do a project!

1. High Temp Tape is a must have!  This will hold your project still and won't burn in high temps. Dont forget the Tape Dispenser!  I didn't have one at first and let me tell ya what, cutting that tape while trying to hold your project in place is a PITA!
2. Sublimation Paper is another must have!  Add it to your cart using subscribe and save some moola!
3. Heat Press will make your life much easier.  If you want your projects to be worth your time, just do it.  K?  K!
4. Butcher Paper will help protect your heat press and your future projects.  Don't skimp on this.
5. A small paper cutter will help you make straight cuts and save you lots of time.
6. Shrink Wrap Sleeves are a great asset if you decide to do tumblers!
7. Heat Gun to shrink those sleeves!  Remember, this ink is heat activated so keep this at maximum distance when shrinking the sleeves. 
8. A convection oven is again for tumblers.  Please remember not to use these ovens for food after subliminting in them!  This ink releases some stuff you don't want to ingest.
9. Thermometer to make sure you oven is really at the temperature you want it at.  You'd be surprised at the difference in temps in different types of ovens.  The one I have is spot on with temp, but I still use it to make sure.
10. POLYESTER shirts/fabric is key!  The lighter the color the better.  You want to make sure you have at least 75% polyester for the ink to remain on permanently.
